Leto sat on his bed, staring at a cat. This particular cat happened to be Kate, though, which perhaps explained why he was attempting to have a conversation with her.

"No, I'm not going to get you another pudding," Leto repeated. "I don't care if you have sharp claws in your current shape."

Leto slept, while the dreams of early morning made him turn now and then. Fandom and Arrakis had merged into an odd world, and people he knew from both places mingled with long dead ancestors. It wasn't quite a pleasant place, but like with most dreams, waking up by choice wasn't an option.

That everyone was awake again was a relief. Leto hadn't had opportunity to talk to any of his friends who had been stuck in dreams during the past few days, but at least he didn't worry about them anymore.
